Which Motherboard To Choose ???

Once again I'm looking for advice, guys. I will be upgrading to one of the i7 processors very soon and can't decide which motherboard be work best for me. I had kinda set my sights on the Foxconn Bloodrage, but it has not been released yet and no definite date is forthcoming on it. So now I'm looking at the two boards below.

Newegg.com - EVGA 132-BL-E758-A1 LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

or

Newegg.com - ASUS P6T Deluxe/OC Palm LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

I'm planning on getting the i7 940 processor and this memory to go with one of these motherboards.

i'd suggest considering the the Gigabyte Boards as well, the GA-EX58-UD5 for example is an excellent performing board

Re: Which Motherboard To Choose ???

The ASUS looks like the better mainboard, according to specs anyway.

Re: Which Motherboard To Choose ???

i highly doubt you want bloodrage...... board demands a huge price yet has only 3 memory slots....

i recommend the Foxconn Renaissance or Asus P6T Deluxe or the Gigabyte boards

Re: Which Motherboard To Choose ???

Just want to say thanks to you guys for taking the time to try and help me make my decision. After reading the review on the P6T here at Driverheaven and checking the boards I was looking at more closely I've decided to go with the Asus P6T. One other reason being it seems to have an open PCI slot for my X-Fi card after I drop in my CrossfireX cards. Thanks again for all your help and comments. Appreciate it.

Re: Which Motherboard To Choose ???

I'd recommend a 920 as well and investing in decent cooling - the 940 is simply not worth the premium

Re: Which Motherboard To Choose ???

As mentioned I wouldnt get the bloodrage. the p6t deluxe and foxconn renaissance are both great. It all depends on your budget really and whether you can get either one significantly cheaper. I am rather happy with my Gigabyte board in sig, it works great no problems so far. The differences really aren't that huge at this point.
