Whic is more imprtant to cool?
I ordered the Dominator 1600 DDR3 memory to go with my new Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P MB that I plan to install in my Stacker Case. For the time being in my stacker case to blow air in I have a cross flow fan and a 120 fan thats attached to the front of my HD cage.
I'm not sure yet but I may have to remove the cross flow fan because Giga has positioned the SATA plugs sideway on the right side of the MB, it just depends on how much room there is between the CF Fan and the MB. If I do have to remove it tho it will leave just the 120mm fan from the front of the case. Anyway what I'm wondering is which would be better/more important position wise. Should I place the drive cage up by the memory or lower so its blowing more on the NB & SB? Initially I'm not planning to OC and I do plan to add the CMXAF2, DDR3 triple channel fan/cooler to the memory once it can be ordered. Anyway here is a pic of the MB inc ase it might help in ppls suggestions: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Mot ... -EX58-UD4P |

You can safely remove the cross flow fan and don't bother to reposition the 4-in-3 drive module. Things will run cool enough anyway. (I'm sure you're using the exhaust fan(s) at the rear of the case.)
