exclamation Wanting to upgrade my AMD M3A+ Motherboard

I purchased my AMD gear a couple of months ago.
( " Its on my profile " )

When I try to use the full potential of my KINGSTON Hyper-X 1066 DDR2's 8-GB total.
and raise the clock from 800 to 1066 ( with help from Kingston Support,)
the operating system works between 15-min to 2 hours and BOOOOM - FROZE.

The system would always freeze and I would have to hard shut down the system.

Kingston Support tells me that the MOBO can not handle 1066 even though it says it can.
And it only works on 800Mhz.
Kingston was on the phone helping me for almost 2 hours,
and they even helped me do a MEMTEST, and all was PASS.

SO -
Here is the question.!

I am looking for another motherboard that YOU know for sure will work on 1066 DDR's.

So I can take advantage of the 1066.

Please read my gear.! - So you know what I have.
I am also planning on upgrading my AMD-CPU (Feb-2009) from
AMD Phenom QuadCore 9500
to
AMD Phenom II QuadCore
Newegg.com - AMD Phenom II X4 940 Deneb 3.0GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Black Edition Processor - Processors - Desktops

So I am looking for another MOBO for my AMD and 1066 DDR2

thanks

EDIT: 02.06.2009

1. - Is AM3 MOBO and Phenom's coming in End of February.?

I was told its far better choice.
I was also told that DDR3 would be able to operate on the new AM3 AMD boards now, that coming out soon.
and I could have a far better and faster machine because of the new AM3 Technologies.
Is this true ?

I was also told that the new AM3 MOBO's will have MultiLane connection,
So one MultiLane socket can handle 4 Hardrives, Illuminating all the cabling within the case.

So one connection on the motherboard for MultiLane, you would be able to operate 4 hardrives at a time,
and view them as separate drives all from one MultiLane Cable.

Like I mentioned, I wanted to also upgrade my AMD Phenom to a Phenom II,
but a friend told me that AM3 is coming soon and faster CPU chips thats are AM3 Phenoms.
He told me that AM3 AMD will be passing higher than 3Ghz, he believes the new AM3 Phenom II will go about 3.5-Ghz to start.

I just asking to make sure.
Because reading some stuff on the net, its hard to believe whats true and whats fake,
Researching this informations after my friend informed me of this information.

So just want to get facts straight.

thanks.

Re: Wanting to upgrade my AMD M3A+ Motherboard

My friend pointed me to these links.

1. - AMD to Start Transition to New Platform Form-Factor in March, 2009. AMD to Ship First AM3 Processors in March, 2009

AMD to Start Transition to New Platform Form-Factor in March, 2009 - X-bit labs

2. - Six AMD Phenom II AM3 processors expected in February 2009

Six AMD Phenom II AM3 processors expected in February 2009

And that AMD has now gone to 45nm,
It was considered that the first socket AM3 processors will appear during March 2009. As reports associate , this is correct only for deneb processors with TDP level not more than 95 W, or propus processors without cache in the third level. Deneb processors with TDP level not more than 125 W will obtain the socket AM3 and will appear not earlier than the second quarter 2009.

Recently, we explained that during February AMD will announce only a limited number of 45 NM products . Elders retail models will become the four core processor phenom II X4 810 (2.6 GHz) with 4 Mb cache in the third level, and the two others will obtain only three cores, but they will preserve the valuable 3 Mb cache in the third level. All three processors sockets AM3 models, intended for sale in the retail network, already appeared on British Internet- store.

The appearance of processors in the stores Price- list indicates the fast announcement of those processors. In this case user have to wait for socket AM3 motherboard . According to our data, they will appear nearer to March. However, some motherboard producers propose some hybrid solutions, capable to combine socket AM3 processors and DDR- 3 memory on socket AM2+ motherboards.

Literally yesterday appeared for the first time the processor phenom II X4 805 Socket AM3, which will appear officially in the beginning of February simultaneously with other 45 NM processors models.
The existence of engineering models only proves the proximity of announcement, and even motherboard producers have already promulgated the characteristics of their products with socket AM3. Does this indicate that we will see the finished platforms class socket AM3 on sale already in the second-half of February?
If it was previously considered that the processor phenom II X4 925 (2.8 GHz) will be presented during February, and in the second quarter to it will be joined with (( Phenom II X4 945 (3.0 GHz) and Phenom II X4 950 (3.1 GHz) )), then now AMD is assembled to present on 9 February only limited assortment of socket AM3 processors.

(( We will see only five 45 NM processors models socket AM3: ))
  • Phenom II X4 910 (2.6 GHz) - > only OEM;
  • Phenom II X4 810 (2.6 GHz) - > price less than $180;
  • Phenom II X4 805 (2.5 GHz) - > only OEM;
  • Phenom II X3 720 Black edition (2.8 GHz) - > price less than $150;
  • Phenom II X3 710 (2.6 GHz) - > price is less than $130.
Actually, during February on retail will enter only three processors socket AM3. Moreover, two of them will be three-core, and the third will combine four cores with the cache volume in the third level reduced to 4 Mb.
Problem consists that AMD and its partners cannot fix the delivery of motherboard socket AM3 up to February . Socket AM3 processors can work also in socket AM2+ motherboard, but under such conditions they cannot open their advantages : support to DDR3 memory and higher overclocking potential. For this reason the entire advantage of the new AMD platform will appear later.

Thanks
