I also need a BIOS update too.

the making and model of your PC is HP Pavilion a600n... the motherboard is manufactured by ASUS and the model is A7V8X-LA... this board comes up on the net with several incarnations with different specs (different chipsets, different names, etc.)... since this board is only used by HP and not sold as retail, i would suggest to get the latest BIOS from the HP site...
