nForce drivers

Ok the nforce drivers on my mobo driver cd installed fine with no problems, but the latest ones from nvidia wont install......it goes to open and then it just closes.

Any idea?

when you say latest, what version do you mean? there have been so many recently.........

its 2.03 i got them from nvidia web site last night....are the lasest?

well there have been 2.41s and 2.42s and 2.05s and another one 2.9 something I think (I was begining to lose interest at that point).........

2.03 should install fine, is it crashing out just as it goes to launch? you might have a corrupt download....

ya its just crashing upon launch.....so what are the new nforce drivers as of now?

there are quite a few leaked ones, and cancelled sets... do a search on the site for "nforce" and there are a few in the motherboard section.

I still have a mirror for the 2.41 set http://www.hardwareheaven.com/downloads/index3.htm here you could try them, just DONT install the IDE driver, they all SUCK.

If i recall correclty Nvidia removed the IDE driver in there latest release because it was to crappy (those are my words, not nvida's

)

2.05 which was on an OEM site is my favourite, its really no different to 2.03 but they have omitted the IDE driver completely from the installer so you dont have to click the CANCEL button when it asks to install. I keep meaning to get it on the driver download site, when I get a chance ill upload it and update the webpage.
