Looking for BIOS update

After suffering numerous BSODs, I thought it was about time I took MS's advise and look into updating my BIOS. Unfortunately, I'm a little unsure of where I should be looking.
I did find some promise on esupport.com, until I found out they expect payment.

Anyways, my specs (please let me know if they're not complete):
Motherboard
CPU Type DualCore Intel Pentium D 820, 2800 MHz (14 x 200)
Motherboard Name Asus P5SD1-TM
Motherboard Chipset SiS 649
System Memory 1024 MB (SDRAM)
BIOS Type Award (04/21/06)

BIOS Properties
BIOS Type Award
Award BIOS Type Phoenix - Award BIOS v6.00PG
Award BIOS Message P5SD2-TM ACPI BIOS Revision 0104
System BIOS Date 04/21/06
Video BIOS Date 06/03/08

Any guidance on this matter would be gratefully received.

Re: Looking for BIOS update

Thanks for the link MIG, unfortunately there aren't any downloads for either of the models (P5SD1-TM and P5SD2-TM) avaible on the website. Is this the end of the road?

Re: Looking for BIOS update

That's a very elusive board. It mostly pops up on Chinese sites, where the particular boards are occasionally referred to as engineering samples, and the only places I saw it mentioned on ASUS's web site are a couple of OS compatibility lists. Even stranger, they don't mention a single SiS 649 board on their product lists. It seems that the board never really made it to mass production and only a small quantity was sold in certain markets, apparently only semi-officially.

Try posting in their forum or contacting ASUS directly (mods on the forum are not ASUS employees), that's the most likely way to get some answers. Also, I managed to find this, though I'd be careful with that, it apparently worked for someone, but it's obviously not an official release.

Re: Looking for BIOS update

Thanks IvanV. I'm somewhere between feeling lucky and annoyed that I've got a rare PC, though at the moment I'm leaning to the latter! I've posted a similar thread on the ASUS forum and mailed ASUS tech support, so fingers crossed I'll hear something. As for the link, I'm going to err on the side of caution and give it a miss for the time being.
