Disk caching

Anyone know how to enable Disk write caching on a Maxtor 60gig Diamond Plus..I go into properties and it is greyed out

It seems that you've got third party IDE drivers which already utilize disk cache. I think it is so. I did have the same "issue" with my old comp. back in the win98 days. But also nowadays with win2000 when I install nVidias IDE drivers.

i not clear what your talking bout but cachman ... is a program that lests you set the size of the windows write catch defult is 512k i have mine set to 256 mb ... my istalls fly like a striped ape
