Motherboard FSB Profiles
I always like to keep a list of my overclocks in my head for future reference and overclocking new cpus so here's a thread about my profiles for overclocking your FSB.
Beginner: NB+1.45Volts=4.0+GHz Intermediate: NB+1.33Volts=3.2-3.6+GHz Advanced: NB+1.7Volts=6.25+GHz (Boot) Please discuss and add your own profiles as you wish.

Re: Motherboard FSB Profiles
Using what motherboard, CPU and memory? I assume the gear listed in your system specs?

Re: Motherboard FSB Profiles
Oh, I'm plenty confident. That's why I put my CPU-Z and GPU-Z shots right in my signature.
If you can't CPU-Z it, it doesn't exist.

Re: Motherboard FSB Profiles
Oh yeah? Well my CPU-Z validation rocks yours mister.
I once water cooled my system with a water tornado, OH YEAH upside down 2 liter bottles FOR THE WIN!!!!! /end sarcasm. You know this one day I was reading through, all of the non commented or just old posts on our forums, right? And I gotta say, this place gets plenty weird at times. Especially if you've ever entered the FW. I've been here 8 years... jesus. I feel old, I can't even imagine what Zardon feels. Who works like 80-100 hours a week maintaining our little community. back to the topic I've been hovering around different speeds and temps for a while, and I've found my northbridge has like a bit of finickyness to it, Unfortuently, until I get a new cooler (probably the H50), because the domino doesn't quite "fit" in the Raven 2, The hump on it (the portion that runs perendicular to the fan) Where the LCD display is won't fit into the freaking slot on the Raven 2. So I Jerry rigged it by re-using the rubber and stretching the 2 so it's angled. (for now) Because my dog chewed the bracket I pulled out. So I couldn't go back to any heatsink. Ah... I love Dega. |

Re: Motherboard FSB Profiles
Ahh, but at least you have proof...and water cooling...and a board that doesn't have a 50-60mhz FSB hole. I concede to your beefy overclock.

Re: Motherboard FSB Profiles
I recently benchmarked my new Q9400 cpu to 3.5 changed it back after 3DMark ran though. Even though it's probably under the same stress I feel more confident not voiding the warrenty that intel gladly grants you when you return a product that had failed uder it's "own" stress or so they said in an email they once corresponded with me about OCing.
