looking for update for Phoenix - Award BIOS v6.00PG,
hi
AwardBIOS v6.00PG not support USB boot? means i cant boot through my pendrive(usb boot options not showing) my system pc(assembled) having memory 40gb motherboard properties: - mother board id:09/03/2001-i845-ITE8712-6469VPRBC-00 -mother board name:OCTEK Rhinoi845-A4P/M4E mother board nmanufacturer: company name:octek info technology ltd ------------------------------------------- BIOS properties: -biostype:award modular -award bios type-award modular bios v6.00pg -award bios message-bios-I-2m(2k010903) bios manufacturer: -company name:hoenix technlogy ltd ---- ----------------------------------------------------- cpu properties: -cpu type:intel pentium4,1500hz -cpu alias:68 willamettw,aA80528 ---------------------------------------------------------- plz send any(bios) site/info related to this configurations thanks in advance if ,possible send to my mail id:janakiramulu.mtech@gmail.com |

What you're looking for is a BIOS update for a specific motherboard, not for a specific BIOS chip.
First you need to indentify the revision of you motherboard as there are several for the 845-A4P. See instructions here: Identify the M/B model Follow the FAQ and tell us the 5 digits as they are for your motherboard, then we could point you in the right direction to the download area.

Well that's more then 5 digits, let's say the 2K010903 translates somehow to 2K193, that points to a motherboard that does not have any BIOS updates, the shipping BIOS is the latest (if you can call 2003 'latest').
So be sure to check again, perhaps something escaped you. Be sure to follow the FAQ that I linked to.

hi everyone, I`m a newbie to this forum but found it after days of trawling to avoid the BiosAgent plus thing noted by another member. I have a similar problem to connect2jan as my bios is the same...phoenix-award v6.00pg..
Bios Message: KT333 KuDoz 7E/333X BIOS V1.2LCP MAR.07 2003 SYSTEM BIOS: 03/07/03 VIDEO BIOS: 08/17/06 AMD ATHLON 1700+ with 1.5gb RAM I literally rescued my pc from going to the dump because it didn`t (look) right??? and have restored it to run xp brilliantly (although I often wish I`d added the full 3GB of ram)...and now it has 7 ultimate and us struggling to cope....I intend to get it to top capability for an older system and would appreciate any advice on this topic. I`ve traced and downloaded the original cd for the QDI motherboard (iso) which will be very helpful if I ever get to profile the bios... graphics card is Nvidia GF6200 which I upgraded from 5700LE. thanks again for any help with this trying challenge...( : |
