Need help with RAM
I have Asus P5G41T-M LX motherboard. It supports DDR3 RAM having frequencies 1333(O.C.)/1066/800. I want to purchase DDR3 RAM 1333Mhz. I know this 1333Mhz RAM will run after turning on the PC but the mobo will not be able to use the settings for RAM. How can I run the RAM perfectly in my PC. Do I need to change latency settings of the RAM in BIOS or something else as I'm having doubt with 1333(O.C.).
I want to purchase this RAM: eBay India: 4GB Kingston DESKTOP DDR3 1333MHZ 4 GB DDR 3 BILL+ 5YR (item 170628346549 end time 19-Apr-2011 15:44:03 IST) It says that it has programmable CAS latency. Also, I'm having Intel e8200 core 2 duo processor with 1333Mhz FSB. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Need help with RAM
You from India! Me too HAHA. You can install that ram easily in your mobo without overclocking. I think that you may buy ram from corsair. Its a good company and their ram offer better performance.

Re: Need help with RAM
2370 RS .... rupee? I can't figure out the conversion of it.. but that strikes me as quite expensive isn't it?
By the sounds of it.... your concerned that it may not work? Well with anything even with what the motherboard states it supports.... that's always a possibility... BUT it should work just fine.. Personally i'd go with patriot memory... or G.Skill.. but that's my opinion... and i'd also go with 1600mhz... because it allows for typically lower latencies which have it's advantages.. but your likely limited to what is available to you. Typically you should be able to pull your current ram out.. and stick only those in... by default... many of the boards will default to 667mhz or 800... some will auto tune up to 1066mhz and you have to manually go into the bios and set the DRAM value to 1333mhz (or higher on some motherboards).. Overall ... you should be fine.
