Things to fix in Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Bios

I bought an Asrock Z68 Extreme4 motherboard a week ago.

Iv'e found there are things that needs to be fix in that bios (my current ver. is 1.5):

1. There isn't an option to control the first "Power Fan" speed. No matter what parameter is chosen, the fan works at the same speed.
2. "Chasis Fan Number 2" on bios, doesnt have setting like all other fans (Automatoc, Manuel and Fan Level are missing).

3. "UEFI Flash" menue is showing gibberish and doesn't do nothing, else then giving an "OK" button. There is also no explanation about this feature in the booklet.
4. The Legacy USB 3.0 Support default is "Disable", and not "Enable", like is printed in the booklet. 5. There isn't an option to turn off the power botton LED in Sleep mode. This blinking light is very disturbing in night when Pc is in a bedroom!
6. General waking time from sleep mode of Keyboard and Screen (after touching the keyboard) is very long, comparing my old Pc. You need to wait for the screen and keyboard to be awaked!

7. Mouse behavior on Bios screen is VERY jumpy and nervous.
8. There isn't any option to set time on bios like every other Pc bios.
9. Every time that Pc is turning on or waking up from sleep mode, the DVD burner is staring to work by its own, even there isn't a disc inside.
10. There isn't an option to choose how Power Button should bahave when Pc is in work. Some would like to cancel the option to turn Pc off using Power Button (but with long "ATX OFF" press), as a caution from small childrens. This is a basic crusial feature!
11. I think that graphic design of this Asrock UEFI bios should be improoved. I've saw Asus one and it looks much more mature.

These things are very anoying in my first Asrock motherboard.
I hope Asrock will read it, as they are not replying on their website.

Hi Namur, I will point ASRock at this page.

EDIT: It would probably help if you listed your system specs also, including the mouse/keyboard and graphics card.

Re: Things to fix in Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Bios

Another thing i've found on that Bios board that need to be fixed:

If your Pc is in a Sleep Mode, and you disconnect the Keyboard
and Mouse (to be used on another Pc for example),
and then connect your Keybioard and Mouce back to the Asrock Z68
Extreme4 mobo, you can't wake Pc back, but by pressing the power button.

It seems that this mobo can't recognized keyboard and mouse again
when connecting them in sleep mode.

This never happened to me with my old mobo, which can wake up even
my keyboard and mouse connected while pC is a sleep.

Re: Things to fix in Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Bios

Another strange bug in that motherboars Bios:

When a USB 3.0 device is connected to USB 3.0 front included bay,
you won't have Lan connection until you disconnect device (a Samsung usb 3.0 external HDD), restart, and connect HDD again just after restart.

I think this issue occurs with any device connects into fron usb 3.0 bay.

Very strange.
