Is It Worth The Effort And Money

I'm contemplating going from my current computer (check my system) to a new computer which would include a 2600k (Sandy Bridge) and a this motherboard. Or am I better off staying with what I have until Ivy Bridge comes out?

I'd stick with what you've got and wait, pretty nice system as it stands, you've got triple channel memory, and you'd have to move to dual for one.

Do you overclock it at all? Would be plenty of headroom with the H70 I'd assume.

No, OC'ing is not something I've ever done. It might have something to do with my age, just don't understand the basics.

I agree, you have a very good system there, if you don't have an urgent or specific reason to upgrade, no reason to now.

Re: Is It Worth The Effort And Money

definitely no need to move..

the only significant upgrade would be to the cpu from the move... and of course likely full SATA III/usb III support..

i'd hold onto it....... quad channel Intel socket 2011 will arrive shortly perhaps.
