how to upgrade the nforce driver??
hi all,
From what I've read, there has been a lot of problems upgrading the nforce driver. Just wondering if anyone can show me how to properly upgrade the nforce driver without ruining anything else. I'm currently using nforce 2.03 and considering upgrade to 2.45. Can anyone show me the best way to upgrade it? thanks |

Should i just install on top of the previous nforce driver or should I uninstall the previous nforce driver first then install the new driver? Then is there anything else i need to delete (registry or useless files/folders)?
Or should i use the DriverCleaner? Can someone help me? I just don't want to end up reformating my computer. |

well,
I found that the best way to update the nforce driver is to install on top of the previous driver. If you uninstall the previous nforce driver first then there may be some complication with other things such as video card driver and/or audio driver, or maybe some other things. The other good things about 2.45 driver is that when u install on top of the previous driver, u won't have two nforce drivers listed in the add/remove programs. Finally Nvidia can fix something right. Hope this can help other people. |
