??? Computer Case Question...

Any suggestions on a case for someone doing moderate OCing? (nothing thats gonna make me take out a second mortage)

Also, wondering if the Antec SX1040BII case or the Antec 1080AMG are good cases to get?

Well, for moderate ocing you can really use any case you want. Unless you have a super crammed case with no fans on it you wont likely have a problem. Best bet is something you can attach a fan to the front, rear and the side of the case.

For overclocking its more important to go and cool the processor and FSB. All the case does is carry the warm air farther away from the source.

Though if you want some mid priced reccomendaitons... Say under $100(lets face it your case will be with you a few mb's to come so its worth it) Covers pretty much anything without a power supply. Say under $50 you can narrow it down a bit.

Antec has been pretty good to me with the performance 2 series. Not horribly expensive where I bought it. It has lot's of places for fans and is a pleasure to work on as it has removable HD and floppy mounts and the mb comes right out with nothing really in the way.

The Antec 1080AMG is an excellent choice and comes with a 430 Watt PSU. I have one myself!

Wow, lowest price I have seen on that type of case. Why are there so many different makers of the same case? Any real difference between these? or the raidmax 668w?

System Specs

i have allways prefured gernric cases fo about $30 ... pick up a deul fan psu ....and then modify them myself .... it costs a lot less and i get exactly what i want ......................

get something smaller with two fan in and one fan out besides psu ... smaller case is easyer to cool than a full size ... and i have found the use of 45cfm 80mm 30db fans is quiters than useing 92 or 120 mm fans..

a blowhole on top and one on the side ove
r you videro card and your ready to rumble .....
