Every wanted to tweak your VIA chipset based Motherboard?, well there is a program called Wpcredit, whichthe user can modify the PCI register settings, northbridge settings, etc. With the use of this program, But beware, only for expirenced users use this program! But don't worry, http://www.viahardware.com has written several Wpcredit tweak guides for you to know and to find out. And I won't forget to mention, George E. Breese's PCI Latency patch. What the PCI Latency patch does is that modifys the PCI registry config, northbridge, etc. Which can fix several Soundblaster chipset problems along with a VIA chipset. Also, it's included with some tweaks Hard-Drive Read/Write speeds, which dramaticaly you'll notice.
Note I reccommend people to download the working and stable patch of the PCI Latency patch v0.19d. Which works for all VIA chipsets and no there is no IDE controller curruption used on this patch. But if your'e a beta tester or would like to test the new and beta release of the Latency patch v0.20, feel free to do so. But a word of caution, the v0.20 patch can corrupt on a Apollo Pro133/133a with the use of Asus A7V133 Motherboards. I've heard a big HD speed improvement with the use to the v0.20 patch and on a KT333, George himself said it. You can download WPCREDIT v1.2a here You can download the PCI Latency patch v0.19d here You can download the PCI Latency patch v0.20 here You can find out about George E. I gotta be honest, I liked my SB Live! card back in 1999 till 2000, I had bought a cheap Hercules MuseXL Soundcard, which I fell in love with
. Its a great and budget Soundcard for an individual such as myself. But the Hercules Fortissmo 2 rocks

I like my Audigy, the latency patch deals with 90% of the errors with it. Here's some KT333 tweaks I got on the viahardware.com forums btw, they might help.
Load the KT266 pcr file then apply each of these in Wpcredit to test the settings. IF they work, load them into Wpcrset so that they load with windows Memory 48=38 55=84 6A=FF 6B=F0 93=FF 94=5F 96=F9 PCI 70=A0 71=48 (Doesn't work for me) Cooling 92=E9 Another tweak is to enable HALT, it's on register 95, bit 7, it kools your computer but makes the computer unstable at times. I don't do it but it might work for some ppl. I'll edit and thank the author of these tweaks later, hehe. Enjoy!
