hey folks,
i'm trying to find out what motherboards do and do not handle the GF4 vid cards( in reference to the longer vid cards length) anyone with some info would be great! tia MP |

I do believe that was only one combination of mobo/vidcard manufacturer that had problems.
read this: http://www.community.tomshardware.co...hs&Main=381585 i'm having butloads of problems finding sources on this. (cuz don't remember much about it) oh yeah, and make sure you have an AGP 2.0 compliant motherboard.... (should support 4x)

I give up, I remember there were issues with the capacitors on certain boards.... but i really can't find the info any more.
Geforce 4's will work perfect with aything made recently KT333 chipset or P4X333. If you're not confident, just ask someone (not the dealer, they will do anything to sell the board to you, including lying). Good luck

the board that had the prob with the GF4s was the EPOX 8KHA+ I believe. Rev.2 and lower had a problem with a capacitor that was too close to the AGP slot the Rev.3 board fixed it though
