BIOS problem
i have a problem
how can i save my current bios ? I have a dell laptop and i 'd like to save it if i have to downgrade later. thanks a lot for your helps. |

....How old is it... What model number or anything other information we can get from it so that we can maybe see if there is a 3rd party flash utility that would work....

most bios updates of come accross from dell......are actually REALLY good... Dell also has there own way of doing some bios changing... so i'm not sure if a 3rd party flasher would be able to pull it without the computer thinking " BIOS VIRUS" or something...... have you tried to contact dell to see if they could provide you with a walkthrough about backing up the bios? )

no i havn't tried to contact dell because i already know what they gonna tell me: I have to upgrade to the last version A05. but i think you are not aware of the smart step 250 problem. And the last version is a version which normally has to erase the problem but it doesn't. Thanks
