New PSU - Noisy!
Hello everyone.
I have just bought on of these new funky PSU's as reccomended by our DH members. The fan is kick butt and im very impressed with the cooling. The problem is the fan keeps on spiining up every 10 seconds. Is this normal? Thanks

as for your question i would of said it could be the auto temp control kicking in but not sure on every ten seconds. I'm interested on the replies out of genuine curiosity. |

I suggest TTGI 520SS..... Puts out the same amount of power, costs less and you can adjust your 12v and 5v rails.

No it shouldn't.
The TruePower (and TrueBlue is part of that series) only have fan control on the large 92mm fan. The fans never turn off while in use. Link the fan reading to your motherboard it should spin between these numbers 1500-3800 rpm They are Very nice PSU's, best i've used in a long time (and better than Enermax) but they need a new line with SATA connections . Given that mine blew a few weeks ago Going to buy another one sonn as I have th ££

Just noticed your is SATA ready ?
Are these just adaptors they have put in or actual proper connectors. Just to add, if you mean spin up (from slow to fast). Then you may just be on the point of getting hot so it rapidly spins up as it needs the cooling, it then see's the temp drop so eventually drops, case gets to hot etc... Which means your case is too hot or try adjusting the settings of your PSU if you canEDIT : your picture seems to show the TrueControl, the 4/5 vertical pins next to the fan, when the TrueBlue doesn't have this (or isn't suppose to anyway)

I got a True Blue 480 (without the SATA connectors). Mine is running at 1480rpm at the moment. I think I would return it if I was you.

is there a connector that enables the PSu to spin up and down?
Now it seems top be spiining faster.

That might not be the case. For some reason, my copy of AIDA32 shows the PSU and the POWER fans the wrong way round when you have both running at the same time. If I disconnect the power fan sensor from the board, the PSU reads correct (if that makes sense)
