Those mobo's are top notch. One of the cool things that I didn't know about before I got mine is that you can make it so you have to type in a password on your keyboard to start your PC. I use one letter- only hitting that letter will turn on the PC- or any password- how cool is that? Not to mention the awesome OC'ability, and all the other great features. You made a good choice.

ive a Nf7 and an Nf7s, word of advice if you want a silent system, take the northbridge fan off, and put on a zalman heatsink, its a nasty little cheap ass 40mm fan, pretty loud too.

Good choice on the mobo though.

Do you mean when you boot up at very start? I do that with the gigabyte I've got atm.

The NF7-S is £20 more, and as far as I know the only advantage to it is that it has better onboard sound? How much are zalman hsink/fan?

yeah, I didn't know that other mobo's did that- I upgraded from Gigabyte Ga7DX- (also a very nice board- just old and slow now) I just set the power option to password, so the only way you can turn the PC on is to type a password. That's how I got it set up.

I'd get the -s version if you want the excellent soundstorm or will use the other features, but I didn't- I use a fortissimo III and I'm happy with that.

Here's the link- you can see what the S version has on top of the non-s - basically soundstorm and Serial ATA.
