Lookin for a newer bios update....the one i have now is as of 12/09/02.......

i've looked over the mb, only thing i find is the VIA 8235 chip marking....

Go [color=yellow]here[/color] and download sisoft sandra...install it, and click mainboard information, it will tell you what mobo you have...

Go [color=yellow]here[/color] for the latest bios, and be sure to check out the [color=yellow]FAQ's[/color] for info how to flash your bios.....
Are you having any problems with your mobo?...Because if you're not, i don't suggest that you flash your bios, if its not broke don't fix it...

Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG
At this moment, bios can only support Ultra DMA mode 2. I would like to update to Ultra DMA mode 5.

Please may I know how to go about.

Hi there!

You just replied to a thread that is almost four years old. We have a rule that thread older than 30 days is "dead"...

Anyway your problem can not be fixed by BIOS update. To have better DMA modes you would need totally new motherboard that has newer chipset that supports the UltraDMA mode 5.
