Default Post Asus P4S533 & Alpha 8942 Issue.

I recently picked up an Alpha to replace my stock heatsink/fan. It works wonderful! However, there is one small problem. When I bought up the bios comes up with this error.

"Hardware Monitor found an error. Enter Power Setup menu for details."

I look in my bios and everything is just fine. The problem (I think) is that it's no longer seeing the RPM signal from the stock heatsink/fan, so it thinks there is a failure. How do I shut this off? Where it would read the sensor it now says N/A like it should.

I've been to the Asus site but their support area is hosed.

I have a similar issue... although, only every few reboots. Have you tried changing the monitoring to "ignore" in the BIOS power setting.

I have done this, and haven't seen the error in a few days.

Yes I have actually. However, it will not let me select that option because it comes up as N/A. I had to buy a fan with an output for the RPM readings. I'm using the 1009 bios as well. Works fine now. The problem your having seems to be a normal thing with the boards if you have read the Asus forums.
