Motherboard Drivers, strange "problem"?

Hello.

I have a Soltek FRN2-RL Motherboard and I have installed
Nividas latest Unified drivers. (4.24)

I don't know if this is a problem but i just want to double-check.
When i go in to the Device Manager and double-click the
"Nvidia Nforce2 Memory Controller"
Right under "Device Status" it says
"No drivers are installed for this device"

Should it be that way, or is there some problem?

I only have one memory stick @ 256 mb, PC3200.
(if its relevant)

i don't think ti much matters..the RAM is obviously working...lol

that should not be that way! right click on it and search for driver updates (or is it called update drivers) that will fix it hopefully

Is it exclaimation marked, or is it -
"No driver files are required or installed"

I have tried that. And the same thing happends. But maby it should look that way?

Nope, don't got any exclamation marks, only
"No drivers are installed for this device."
So maby there is no problem.
I Was reading through the INF files and I found some lines in nvmemctl.inf

;************************************************* *************************
; Do-nothing section used to avoid "Unknown hardware" installation prompts.
[NO_DRV]
Include=machine.inf
Needs=NO_DRV

[NO_DRV.Services]
Include=machine.inf
Needs=NO_DRV.Services

[NO_DRV.HW]
Include=machine.inf
Needs=NO_DRV.HW

Perhaps thats the case. ?

Yes it will say that "No driver files are required or installed"
but on the next tab. you'll see this:

Probably doesnâ€™t require a driver or is covered by another driver but it is a device so that why itâ€™s listed. Thats not the only device that shows up with out a driver Iâ€™m seem then many times before isnâ€™t a problem.

Ah yes. I had two memory sticks before. But I gave away one to my brother. I thought that the performance of my computer was reduced by half. But since i dont have a Dual DDR setup any more , that could be the problem.
So it had nothing to do with the drivers.
