Help w/ SonyGRV680 mobo

If your looking at this I'm going to assume you know something about l
1. sony
2. laptops
3. replacement parts?

My Friend, who is a system builder has found himself in a bit of a predicament.... His Sony GRV680 laptop w/ 16" screen apparentl has lost it's graphics capability alltogether (ati 9000) and now won't even boot..... In a dire search for a replacement option, i.e. working mobo, since everything else still works great for a 9lb gorilla, as such,hehe

any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.... Thanks in advance

Apparently it's seems to only be the ati mobility 9000 part as the heatsink wasn't properly affixed...

hence looking for a dead sony laptop with this chip on the mobo for possible replacement value.... anyone???

Well im sure you can buy a replacement chip...A) If its removable...and B) you can find a suppler
