what is an igp motherboard?
i feel stupid asking this question... the reason is that the ATI site has separate catalysts for IGP motherboards, but i dont know what they are. are they just boards that have integrated graphics cards? my motherboard is an asus P4S533-VX powered by an SiS651 chipset and SiS integrated graphics card.
IGP = integrated graphics processors?

For that one, it would be the SIS Chipset IGP driver
http://download.sis.com/download_ste...&os=4&x=12&y=8 Looks like UniVGA2 and UniVGA3 support it, so I'd go with 3 http://download.sis.com/download_ste...os=4&x=18&y=11 And the AGP (GART) driver - both of which cover the 651 |

the cats would be for an ati card, not for an IGP, if you have it disabled and are using agp or pci then i would get the cats

no
ati IGP chipsets use modified forms of radeon 9100 and 9200 GPus, whihc is why you use catalyst drivers, you need to get the latest drivers you can find off SiS's site. |

IGP is INTEGRATED graphics - An ATI driver would be no more use for a SIS IGP, than it would be for an Nvidia card.
ATI, Nvidia, SIS, VIA - they all have their own IGP's The ATI is based on a Radeon 9100 The Nvidia (Nforce2) is based on a Geforce 4 MX420 The Sis is based on (usually) a Sis315e The VIA is based on obsolete S3 technology In fact, as a general rule, onboard graphics will be typically at the extreme budget card level. You cannot mix drivers between different makes. If you added an AGP gard, you would then use the GART (chipset/AGP port) driver for the motherboard chipset, and the graphics driver of the card. |

phongtrung, that Catalyst set for "IGP" is referring to ATI's chipset which is called "IGP". It's a chipset for notebooks which contains integrated video. Those drivers are for that integrated video found in the chipset (note: not for discrete "Mobility Radeon" notebook graphics)
"IGP" is not referring to integrated video in general, just ATI's IGP chipset. http://www.ati.com/buy/onboard/integrated/nbookigp.html
