I have a ThermalRight SLK-900(A) cooler with a 90 mm fan. I bought this because at the time my mobo had no mounting holes.
Now I'm getting a new mobo with mounting holes and I just wanted to know if I should keep it, or if there is a cooler with mouting holes that is far superior to the one I have. By the way, the new mobo will be either a Abit NF7-S v2.0 or a Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe with wifi....the fact that you can use it as an access point is a huge plus. =) |

There's nothing really worth upgrading to from the SLK900, keep what you have and save your $$

I'll echo dipstick's suggestion, the slk-900A by thermalright for a socket A processor is about as good as it gets for air-cooling. I'm using an NF7-S rev2.0 in my current rig, the only difference is that I'm using a 70mm TMD fan instead of a 90mm fan.
