the best budget priced mobo?
being a student sucks, especially when upgrading PC parts using the hard earned allowance, so what is the best mobo that a $65 range can giveme and have a good performance in playing games? (e.g.Farcry, Doom 3 and HL2)
thanks in advance

is this a good mobo? it even supports dualchannel but costs 71 bucks http://www.jetway.com.tw/evisn/produ...5peda/spec.htm, i'm using 1 stick of DDR and not planning of buying another for atleast eons to come (DDR are really expensive) so.... should i bother buying the expensive one that supports dualchannel?

I don't know about that brand, but check this one out, it's pretty cheap: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...130-467&depa=0
PS: a mobo change is not going to make much of a difference for games, not as much as a video card upgrade will

I just bought a new ABIT VT7 about 3 weeks ago from MicroCenter. (Posted in another thread about it....here)
So far, I'm VERY pleased with the way it's performed. It's VERY versatile and can handle 478 Pin P4 up to 800 MHz. It also supports Dual Channel DDR up to 3200 x 400 MHz and up to 4 GB total RAM. It's a VIA-based board, if that makes any difference. Total Price: $79. plus tax |
