Hi again guys, here to bug ya again
heh.Was wondering if any of you could suggest a good heatsink for an Athlong 64 S939 that would fit on a MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum. Because of the board layout it looks like the one that I was looking at (that all copper zalman one with the fan in the center of the circular heatsink, looks kinda big and such heh...sorry but I cant remember the name off by heart) is a little big. Iam generally looking for one roughly the size if not a little large than the stock one that Athlon 64's come with (which Iam using now, ick!) I dont overclock "but" I like everything to run super cool because it general gets pretty hot in my home during late spring/summer. Thanks a bunch guys

Waslooking at this one:
Zalman CNPS7000B-Cu Ultra Quiet CPU Cooler For Socket 478, 462/754/939/940 ![]() But when I had looked at it in stores it was HUGE lol, I dont even think it would fit due to my mobo's design. |

^ awesome cooler; thermalright heatsinks are probably the best out there, but are costly.

I dont overclock but Iam worried that the Zalman wont fit. With the MSI Neo2 Platinum a lot of stuff is really close to the CPU and that heatsink is just plain huge lol.

i have the xp-90 and it fits fine. follow the instructions and everything should be ok. but, don't put too much pressure on the chip, if u get the heatsink...

the zalman will fit just fine in that system. At work we have a demo machine set up w/that heatsink in w/a very similar set up as to the one you're talking about. Fit's just fine
. Not hard to install, very easy, very quiet. The xp-90 is actually bigger than the zalman . One of the guys at work had one fed-exed to work so he can install it in his new Athlon 64 set up, and it's definetly larger than the zalman.
