pci-e dfi lanparty vs agp neo2 platinum

well, i'm still trying to decide which system to use. the 3200+ 90nm is my proc of choice, i now that now.

so pci-e system would use the lanparty ut ultra-d and a x850xt

and the apg would use the neo2 platinum and x800xt

the pci-e system would cost around 75 bucks more. i know that the x850xt gets between 2 and 5% better performance than the x800xt, but i'm not sure on the mobo's.

how do their overclocking capabilities compare? which performs better in most games? is the pci-e step worth 75 more dollars?

Well if you're already spending that much on the parts, may as well throw in the extra $75 for the PCI-E, if you can afford it.

yep, i ordered the pci-e system yesterday, and contrary to my first thoughts, i went w/ the 3500+ over the 3200+. overclocking the FSB to 218 to achieve 2.4ghz just sounded better than having to hit 240. i may go higher, but for now i'll be satisfied w/ 2.4

That board is awesome for OCing.. DFI...You will see a good amount of performance gain using the PCI-e as the bus is 100MHz versus the AGP at 66MHz. Plus the bus can be OC'd higher due to the NF4 chipset... Have fun...

Hmm, I was thinking of getting the same board this weekend, have you tried to mod it to an SLI board bake15?

This is my first post

I have the same question, but I{m between the DFI LP NF4 UltraD or the Soltek kT890 (VIA Chipset) the reviews of the last board are awesome.... It seems that the Soltek it{s Great for O/C and as fast as any NF4 SLI Board (of course with great memory like OCZ or CRUCIAL BALLISTIC)
