Issue with Onboard Realtek AC97 ALC850 on n-Force 3 250

Ok so heres my problem, i have [see title] and everything works great, microphone, etc. Execpt this. I have a front jack for my mic and audio out, which is plugged into the F_AUDIO pinset on my mobo, now my mic works fine, but my stereo doesnt. The sound plays but it is backwards, anything heard on left comes out right and visa versa.

Does anyone know if this is a known error or anyway to fix it?

ALSO: i have emailed the AC97 guy at www.realtek.com.tw

Thanks in advance for you help

System Specs

sounds like what you have done is reversed the pins on the F_AUDIO header
swap the left and right pins and you should be right

Im not sure if thats the problem, because i made sure that the section with no pin went with the socket with no hole in the connector.

I give it a try, but how do i swap it? its just a 1 8piece thing.

Thanks for you help stick

EDIT:

Ok i punched out the plug in the empty socket and put the thing in the otherway and sound only comes out the right.

so i switched it back

is there any third party software i can use to 'reverse stereo'?
