K8N Neo 2 + IDE 0 + Blue Screen = *me insane*

Was having problems with my A8V/PSU last week: http://www.abxzone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90936

Okay -

I RMA'd my PC Power & Cooling for a new (refurbished?) one and got a K8N Neo 2 Plat from my buddy.

I believe the 20-pin connector on the old PSU had a loose/shorting pin and slowly fried the A8V.

However, after replacing the PSU and the mobo, I'm still suffering stability problems:

- during the Windows install, whatever optical drive I'm using will stutter while trying to copy files off of the disc, oftimes asking my if I want to Try again, or Abort, saying the disc is dirty or the files corrupted...ya know? (the disc, however, is pristine...like new)

- I'm getting sporadic "IRQ_LESS_THAN..." and other various blue screens/reboots (BTW - I know these are usually signs of low juice to the memory/memory failure, but the memory is champs - it still does overnighters with MemTest v1.51 at stock AND overclocked speeds!)

- the bloody board is giving me the FITS trying to see the optical drive attached to IDE 0...somtimes it shows up, sometimes, not so much (the drive is new and (firmware) updated; the cables are known good cables, etc.) :bang:

I'm afraid that possibly the processor got put out of whack because of the failed PSU, but I'm not sure if these are signs of a wonky processor or if these are known bugs with this 'board/my hardware!? And anyway - I don't have the money (right away) to replace the bloody thing.

Help.

fester

P.S.
The board's BIOS is latest official; I'm running at STOCK speeds/voltages; I've switched all the cables out at one point or another; I've got a big honkin' Swiftech astride the proc w/Artic Silver 5 and 3 intake/3 exhaust fans blowing through the aluminum case.

Erm...do you mean the A8V? It is DOA.

If you mean the K8N, then take a quick look at my P.S.:"...I'm running at STOCK speeds/voltages..."
