A8V Deluxe Network Controller Driver - Where is it?

Hi,
I have an Asus A8v Deluxe Motherboard and cant seem to find the driver for the Network Controller, Ive tried the Marvell 630 driver, and indeed all of the other drivers on the driver page of the Asus website, the network card is working and i can transfer files across the network however i still cant share the internet through my computer.

Does anyone know where else I can find the driver, or perhpas come generic network controller drivers I could try?

Please help as my housemates are very pissed off with me.
Thanks Very Much
Sam

Ps. sorry for posting this twice, new to all of this.

it sounds like the drivers are working, but that windows networking isnt workng.

edit: how are you sharing the net, with another ethernet adapter in your box or a router/hub?

Have you enabled Internet Connection Sharing?

Continuing ASUS A8v network controller problems

Thanks very much for your replies,
The current setup stands at:

--Modem--USB--My Computer--ethernet--HUB--Computer A
L__ Computer B

My computers the one with no network controller, the main internet connection is via my USB port, my computer is linked to a hub, which connects to 2 other computers.

Ive tried the network setup wizard, and enabled internet connection sharing, Ive successfully set up internet sharing in this way prior to formating my computer. However its not working, so Im pretty sure its the network controller thats the problem.

Any help you can give will be much appreciated.
Thanks
Sam

error above

in the above diargam, computer B should be coming out of the HUB, not where it is.

Ive just reinstalled the drivers for my ethernet card and the lan is described as:
limited or no connectivity. You might not be able to access the internet or some network resources. This problem occurred because the network did not assign a network address to the computer.

If i click repair the following message comes up:
Windows could not finish repairing the problem becuase the following action could not be completed: Renewing your IP address.

Which makes me think its the network controller

Is this on XP SP2? If so, click start > run > type CMD > click OK.

At the command prompt type NETSH and hit enter. Then type WINSOCK RESET CATALOG and hit enter.

Reboot your PC and see if that fixes your connectivity issue on that machine.

if you can ping computer a/b from your computer then the network controller is fine.
i seem to remember using a crossover cable when i had a hub (i dont like networking, thats my brothers stuff).
you could grab a cheap router and use that instead of the hub.

I agre with Choggi. A cheap router will make things much easier to manage.

You have limited or no connectivity because there is no router/DHCP server assigning addresses

open control panel
open network connections
open properties for your RJ 45 nic, not the USB network connection to your modem
open properties for tcp/ip

change from automatic to manually assigned address

on computer 1 set it to 192.168.1.101
Subnet 255.255.255.0
on computer 2 use 192.168.1.102
Subnet 255.255.255.0

I have not messed with ICS, but i am guessing something needs to be in the gateway field, on computer one it may be the address from the USB modem, you can try, find the address for the modem by going to start>run "cmd" then type in "ipconfig" and it should list the IP

on computer 2 I am guessing the gateway would be 192.168.1.101 (the gateway being the primary computer with ICS)

hope it helps
