Well I did a big round of Upgrades on my PC 2.4C to 3.2E, 512 Generic to 1 Gig of Corsair TwinX XMS,9800Pro@XT to X800XT and lastly my Sparkle 300W was replaced with a Tagan 420w. Now here is my issue/question, I find this PSU is pushin alot of hot air out the back in comparison with my Sparkle and I guess I would just like a little feedback. I mean it has 2 fans (push, pull they call it) but I dont feel alot of hot air in the top of my case and frankly its not like either of them are spinnin all that fast (they supposedly will turn up under load) Its seems to be almost the hottest thing in the case now and I'd hoped it woulda added a bit of extra heat dissipation
![]() Is it Normal for this thing to be pushing out so much Heat? Last edited by INSTG8R; May 29, 2005 at 06:07 PM. |

Yup. And most PSUs' fans will only start really spinning if things really heat up.

K thanks I just never expected it to be so warm considering I was pushing the Sparkle 300w pretty hard and it never generated this much heat

It's possible that it simply pushes more air through itself than the old PSU did, and thereby draws more hot air from within the case.
