just picked up a mx3100 duo at the weekend....im currently over the moon with the mx1000 at the moment.never thought id find a better cordless mouse than my mx700 i have just replaced.
so id say for now a mx1000 will be a decent choice, but does depend on you wanting cordless or not. |

what one will like another may not.... so a simple answer may not always come about. Heard different opinions about razors so don't know what they are like. |

was thinking of mx518,but heard can tricky setting up between games and its only 1600 dpi and most drop it down to 1000,as far as raptor goes seems better.l find the mx1000 very good,do raptor do better or same

I have an mx518 myself, as a competitive FPS player, I highly reccomend it. The mx1000 is also a great mouse but I found it to be much heavier than most other mice I have used, and can be quite expensive.

I heard the mx700 and mx1000 had some response time issues for gaming. I have an mx700 and it has been fine in that respect...how's the mx1000 for you guys?
btw, if I was to buy a mouse strictly for gaming it would be the 518.

I've got a Razer DIamondback, and it's great! It's like the MX518, but it's got an ambidexterous design (it takes a bit to get used to) and is more lightweight, which is what made me get it instead of the MX518. One thing that I thought would be cool were per-game senisitivity profiles, which the Diamondback doesn't have, but I THINK the MX518 does.
Both are very cood choices, but I prefer the lightweight mouse.
