Front Panel Audio - connector on Motherboard or Sound Card?
I've got a front panel Headphone and Mic jack on my case but don't have a FPAudio connector in my box. I'm wondering if that would be on the motherboard or on the actual sound card? I'm guessing it would be on the sound card but I dunno..

ok most of these cases are designed to be used with motherboard sound, and most soundcards don't ahve the required headers for support of this
what soundcard do you have?

If you are using the onboard audio for the Asus board in your sig then you want to connect the FP audio connectors to the jumpers beside the 4th PCI slot. You will first have to remove the 2 blue jumpers.

Oooh! So I DO have to remove the jumpers! I was scared to try it.
I'm actually using a PCI Sound Blaster Live 5.1 but if I can use my front panel jacks then I'll switch to on-board because I would love to have those! Thanks a milion, guys. |
