Excited about my 2Gig set on the way
I just had to flout a bit .I just ordered the Corsair XMS set of 2 Gig as I am REALLY happy with my current 1 Gig set of XMS and I am partial to my PAT feature, and these 2x1024s run the same speeds so I should lose nothing and gain LOTS

2 gig of ram is a good move and certainly future proof's your gaming rig for those forthcoming titles. (BF2 will see improvements with 2 gig if you play that).

Indeed I do play BF2 and it will be interesting to see if I can run it at all High settings( I currently run it High with Med. Textures,Shadows and Lighting 4x AA@1280x1024) and it not lag/stutter like it does now.

Chances are it'll alleviate that stuttering problem you're having. I had the same issue before moving on to 2gigs.

I just got my 2Gb of OCZ platinum ram, seems to work nicely.
Will be booting into memtest and going to work in a few minutes, will try clocking them up tonight.

Congrats! I too just bought another 2x512, so I now run 4x512 of ddr400 in dual config. And I CAN varify that I now can play BF2 with everything high and no lag. Before it was stuttering all over the place. FEAR also plays nicely, but not perfect... I think its buggy though.
2 gigs was a great upgrade for me, i was also suprised how it helped my dual monitor configuration, as I can now run a game on one monitor and opera in the other with no hickups. I also just got a 3.2e with 1meg cache, I hope my system will now last me a lot longer... |

yea man, don't worry about 200Mhz OC. Not anything that you should be able to notice really. 3.2Ghz should be plenty
