best bang for the buck, get the OCZ PowerStream. It's what everybody who doesn't have a PC Power & Cooling gets pretty much. FYI, the only difference between the two is really only 2A on the 12v rail. Dunno if you feel like spending and extra $150 (USD) for an extra 2A
......it's up to you though if you do want to spend that much more for an extra 2Athough

Take a look at this review of the Antec Neopower, one of the best pieces of hardware inside my computer

The OCZ 520 Powerstream is a good power supply, and so is the PC P&C 510. I would also recommend a Fortron 550 Blue Storm. Its a great PSU, and comes with a great price. |

the OCZ PowerStream PSUs are very quiet. From what i've heard the PC Power & Cooling is much louder than the OCZ PowerStream PSU.

just don't touch a ultra x-connect..... atm, i'm battling with there warranty department over this ultra x cconnect i bought a year ago tomorrow.... it blew up exactly 30 days after i got it and i've made so many phone calls i can't keep count since. IMO, if you get one that works... excellent.. good luck have fun. But the moment you run into a problem.. you have a possiblity arise that you may have just burnt a bit of cash and ended up with a nice shiny paperweight with a bunch of useless cabled.
I'm sure they've been screwing with me just to push the warranty period over and say i'm screwed period. But my gaud.. to do it for a fulll 11 months. a well. Get a OCZ Power/Mod~Stream CPU. And if you can, make sure you try and scratch for that little bit extra cash to purchase there 520 watt model (or better if they have one available yet ~ i'm completely out of the loop atm) If you want the clean easy breathing look of a neat and tidy case... modstream.. be forwarned to make SURE those cables and very snuggly plugged into the psu.

An Enermax PSU recently reviewed here had voltages that were solid as stone. Might be less than the OCZ if money is an issue...
Here she be: http://www.hardwareheaven.com/reviews/...x535/index.htm

If you go for an OCZ PSU, I woudn't both with the modstream. Both the Powerstream and Modstream are Topower designs, however the MS is an older one than the PS. the Modstream lacks independent regulation, cross-load tolerance, and 12V output isn't near as strongs as the one on the PS.
Here are little review on the modstream http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/oth...tx-psu_11.html I would also recommend the Powerstream 520 over the Powerstream 600. The 600 is a good supply and is ATX2.0 compliant unlike the 520. However the fact that it has dual 12V rails seems to hinder higher overclocks. There are quite a few people on ocforums that have actually got higher cpu overclocks with the 520 over the 600. |

600w PowerStream = 38v total (20v and 18v) on the split 12v rails
520w PowerStream = 33v total on a single 12v rail. As far as OCing goes on a PSU w/dual 12v rails go, i'm not too sure on that. read up on that. but if you trust Tulcakelume, then so be it

Go on ocforums, and ask the psu gurus there (i.e. Olkahoma Wolf, Larva, etc.) I only transmit what i read from the gurus

I got the ultra x-connect PSU. The best feature is the quick connect cables. I will not get any PSU in the future that does not have this feature.
I will also not ever buy anymore Antec PSU's. I have not had good luck with them at all and their smart fan technology is crap. The only thing I noticed after using the Antec was that the top of my case got extremely hot because their fans turn so slowly. After having the Antec True Power 480 replaced twice... I placed the new PSU in the closet as a emergency spare and I bought the Ultra X-Connect. |

Yea, I have not had any problems with the X-Connect. I was not recommending it because I have seen the product reviews on THG. The 3.3 voltage rail is not the best, but I was merely pointing out that I prefer the quick connect cable approach. Makes the case a lot neater.
I have had more problems with the Antec than I have had with this X-Connect, but I don't OC anything. My video card came OC'ed, but that's another matter. |

I really never saw the need for a modular PSU, everytime i see one in someones computer, I think it looks awefully messy. I think a regular PSU is fine, and if you take your time, and organize your cables, you can have just as could airflow, and look just as good..

If I were to buy a new psu today it would definitely be an OCZ but my enermax 550 has been going strong for over a year. The last PCP&C psu(510 dlx) I tried was way too freakin loud
