dvi vs vga cable connecting lcd monitor
I just got my first lcd monitor the other day and it just came with a vga cable to hook it up. The picture is very good and sharp and there is hardly any blurring/ghosting at all (benq T905 12ms 19")
For those of you with lcd monitors, how much difference is there between using digital vs analog connection? I've been reading a bunch of forums on this topic and some people seem to notice a huge difference while others have not. Being a gamer I want the best picture and response possible, but the dvi cable is quite expensive (hopefully ebay will come through if necessary) so if it won't make that much difference I'll use the money for other stuff. One other question is if there is also a quality difference between single and dual link dvi cables. I run it at 1280x1024, so single link would suffice, correct?

I think it depends on monitors, i know that the VGA cable hookup for my 2001fp is a lot less clear than the dvi. But I've read for other monitors that there isnt really that big of a difference. I'd look up your monitor specifically and see what people say about it via DVI or VGA
quick look on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/6FT-DVI-D-DUAL-L...QQcmdZViewItem DVI cable clarification (only need to pay attention to the top 3) http://www.cablestogo.com/resources/dvi.asp
