if you're going to be OCing. go w/the OCZ ram. It's hard to find memory 1Gb sticks that will do 2-3-2-5 timing

the OCZ uses Crucial Ballistix chips, which are currently the best 1GB sticks out there. Should hit 250FSB @ 3-4-4-8.

you're right about the timings. Though Crucial Ballistix is not the chip manufacturer. I believe it is Samsung who makes the chips. There is a review you can read about the ram here.

Ever since Crucial released their Ballistix ram I 've liked the reviews, just check the prices and latency timings between them and the OCZ.

I have the Corsairs(tho Im not sure those are CL2's) I recently upgraded from the same "set" in the 1Gig variety. they will do 2-3-3-6 but not much on the OC(on mine anyway at 2.8v but I was trying to use the PAT as well ) but still decent RAM Im not disapointed

you're using the Corsair XMS series. If they are matched (or at least the same revision), you should be able to OC half way decently. To OC, you have to have patience because you will be resetting your CMOS quite frequently after you've been tweaking your rig out .

Start another thread in the Overlclocking and Modding forum and i'll help you out there
