amd 64 venice fried

yesterday i decided to get some thermal paste for my processor , i didnt clean any up before aplying some more. when i turned my pc on i didnt her the usual bip coming from the motherboard,i took the heat sink off and touched the top of the processor and it was really hot , i never tried to overclock my processor or any of my components apart from my video card.i tried the processor on my friends motherboard and it worked fine.my processor was only 2 months old , so how come this happened

It worked at your friends computer after you applied the thermal paste of before?

Have you tried your friend's processor on your mobo? I'm thinking your mobo fried.

Try to get a can of compressed air and clean the socket with your cpu removed, sometimes there is dust that move in when you remove the proc.

BTW clean your proc before reinstalling it and reapply a thick layer of thermal paste ( 1mm thick )

yes i tried my friends processor on my motherboard and it worked, i tried my processor on my friends computer and it didnt work either, , im so frustrated,is there any way that i can ressurect my processor?? have u guys ever experencied something like this.oh my god!!!!!!!! i wanna play f.e.a.r

i even bought a new psu but no results , the computer wont boot up at all, i can hear a bip or nothing but all the fans in the case including the graphics card fan is still running.

do u guys think that i should stick the processor in the fridge on wash it with water, cuz everytime i turn my crap pc on it gets ultra hot after 5 seconds

Make sure that all the proc pin are clean and no one is bent . To clean it you can use a soft brush like dental care brush.

Why you'd think washing or freezing a CPU Would help...is beyond me.
