Bus Speed changing...
Every time I try to install WoW, I get this same error:
Patch data is bad. (source CRC mismatch: 1843987915/-1959647696) (BNUpdate::PTCApply) I've asked on their technical forums, and they told me to copy the installation files from all 5 discs onto my computer to see if it's just bad discs, the installation still failed. I ran memtest86 for about 8 hours, defragmented (0% fragmentation) my installation disk, and still no dice. I did a little research, and found this: http://icelava.net/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=964 So the question is, how do I reduce my bus speed? I'm using and Asus A8V-E Deluxe Mobo with an Athlon 64 3000+ processor. |

Go into the BIOS and if the bus speed is set to auto choose manual and drop it down there.
To enter the BIOS hold the delete key on your keyboard during boot. I noticed from the link you included that he only dropped the speed on his memory. Hope it works!
