USB isn't all that important either if you don't use flash drives or usb hard drives, etc.

I mean USB speeds. Hardly any devices use USB2.0 except for hard drives, etc. |

Well, the review over at Anandtech tells us that when DFi switches the southbridge chipset to either the ULi1575 or ATi's SB600, it will be THE board for Crossfire enthusiasts. I for one have been waiting a LLLLOOOONNNNGGG time for this...I guess I have to wait a little longer...

Couldn't resist, I completely jumped ship lol. I've been running it for a few days and it's just as fast and OC'able as my DFI nf4 SLI board. It could use some work with the bios but i know DFI will come through on that soon enough. Overall its been stable as a rock and runs very cool. Now just have to wait for the CF edition X1800's to show up

One caveat. A VERY small number of RDX200's are know to kill high-end CPU's. A dude from Xtremesystems lost two FX-57's and a 4800+ to two different boards. $3000 of fine AMD silicone gone

and the SAME board and fired it to (Big suprize) so two where due to one bad board. That and nothing says it was setup correctly. I've built and repaired 10's of thousands of systems and even I screw up now and then. "At first I wanted to kill myself - when it happen on board #1 I tried to trouble shoot what went wrong with the first FX-57 and stuck in a 4800+ which shortly died as well. Bad luck I thought." I'm pretty sure even a "noob" should know better! A board kills a CPU you RMA it. eand of story no need to drop expensive $1,000 CPU's in to see if it will fry them too "But when now it happend with board #2 with another FX57 on a complete different setup I decided against suicide...curious o see how DFI will react." Sound like he got a couple of bad boards and yes it happens! I have herd of a few people that got this board and they han't said anything bad yet But just to be safe I'd stear clear anways as i do with a NEW stuff givem time to work out the firnware annd any hardware bugs and save you money in the long run...He out the hardware as tey are only liable for the motherboards

Speaking of quality, it seems that this DFI board isn't on ATI's Certification List just yet. Check out HardOCP's ATI Backs Up CrossFire article for more details.

A number of years back I had two bad DFI boards in a row. So...the third one was the charm.

Well this NF4 board is my first DFI board, but I didn't acquire it blindly. Multiple reviews stated good things about it.

the horror stories or bad stories about all of the popular DFI boards just becouse "It happens" doesn't mean it'll happen to you. I've seen several people eather posting about or with that board listed in thier sig on other forums and they didn't have anything bad to say. So it's probubly hit and miss. Part of why I'd avoided buying one even though they awesome for tweaking & overclocking options.
