Upgrade question
Looking to upgrade to pcix with the most minimal cost. Now I have 2 x 200gb 7200rpm hdd's(ide), 2x512mb 3200 ram,2 x dvd burners, and a 3.2e p4(socket 478). Im really clueless what mobo to get if I can get one without getting a new cpu. If not I would just get a 850pro or xt. Second if I cannot upgrade to pcix what would be the best or awesome mobo supporting what I currently have(cry I have a POS ECS mobo). TIA

you want PCIe and your S478 board? you choices are going to be quiet limited. You are going to need a board with a 910GL chipset and S478. I can only think of one board, Asus' P4GD1, which isn't available in north america.

You might as well save and get a lower end Pentium D or a prescott based chip then get a good mobo, it will probably save you cash in future.
