Heatsink, harddrive, etc. installation on K8N-SLI

I have the X2 3800+ processor for the K8N-SLi. I tried installing a heatsink on it, but it just doesnt seem to fit. So I used the stock heatsink instead. If I want to overclock, should I use the one I boutght, or use stock. Also, I have a harddrive I use on my other computer, I was wondering if I could use that on my new computer, or will the different settings mess up my computer. And, for the HD and drive installation, do they have to be on seperate channels, or can one be set to master, and the other to slave. The board only came with one cable, so was thinking of using a old one thats in my computer.

System Specs

make sure you follow the instructions provided for installing as you may need to modify the HSF bracket

BUT if components on the mobo are blocking installation, return the HSF and purchase one that will fit

Use the old cable and go for separate IDE channels it will do better for youre performance.

As for the HSF Issue it depends what HSF you bought.

Might as well spend the $30 bucks and get a new one if you wanna OC
