problem with USB drive

I have mp3 usb drive with 512 MB capacity with samsung chip model named as M 700.
When I am using it in XP some folder entries got correpted and I used windows chkdsk and fixed errors. Now my drive is showing only 256 MB.

In partition manager my drive is showing following info
Sectors / boot: 1
Sectors / cluster: 8

Size (capacity): 245 MB (257.241.600 )
Used space: 166 MB (67%)
Free space: 79.5 MB (32%)

Physical sectors:

First: 63 (Cyl 0, Hd 1, Sec 1)
Last: 502487 (Cyl 31, Hd 70, Sec 63)

HDD info: Cyl 31, Hd 255, Sec 63

do i have 512 mb disk. can I recover atleaset part of lost space. Please help.

System Specs

Welcome to the DriverHeaven forums lingham...

Manufacturer brand name and exact model of the device please?

My suspicion is that you may have to dump your MP3's off onto your computer's hard drive, and get a file from the manufacturer to 'repair' the space problem on your USB drive - but I want to check first with the manufacturer...
