Blue screen O' Death...

I am just wondering can incorrect settings in the BIOS especially with the RAM permantely screw up windows because the RAM could sent corrupted data for just that time, and after fixing it won't make a difference until a re-install?

Yes. There is always a chance that improper RAM timings can corrupt data while the data sits in RAM and then the data changes can be made permanent when it gets saved on your HDD. I tend to mess with those things from a fresh install or when backups are made. It's never messed up my Windows yet, but it can happen.

It is possible but running chkdsk would fix those kinds of errors in most cases. The worst you gotta worry about is a corrupted MFT, but even then the mirror copy should be OK and get auto restored from.

Definately not wise but then again not the most serious of problems if you're careful about keeping backups
