Twittering without typing

by Allan Campbell | Wed 25 November 2009, 9:33 | Discuss

If you are an active Tweeter but find it hard to get the time to continually update your page then the new Call-n-Tweet system from Kirusa might be just the thing you are looking for.

This service allows you to record your voice and then post the files to Twitter, allowing for a new, immersive way of keeping in touch with your followers and friends. This service however doesn't try and transcribe the voice to text, it simply places a recording onto its own site and then puts a link to the file on the user's Twitter page. We aren't aware of any charges for the service at this point.

So why would we need this option? Well Kirusa state that this is much safer than trying to write Tweets while driving. Quite why anyone would need to Tweet while driving a car leaves us somewhat perplexed but perhaps it will open up a whole new style of blogging : "You guy outta see this idiot in front of me driving, im going to ram him off the road!".

It seems easy enough to use, you register your mobile number and Twitter account with the company and then it uses CallerID to identify the user to link to the correct pages.
