CoolerMaster CM690 Advanced II Chassis

by Allan Campbell | Mon 07 December 2009, 13:48 | Discuss

CoolerMaster are working on another chassis which they are set to announce at CES 2010 in Las Vegas - DriverHeaven will be there to report on this and more. This new chassis is the followup to the very popular CM690, one of CoolerMasters biggest sellers. This is called the "CM690 Advanced II".

The exterior and interior will be finished in black and it will have pre drilled holes for watercooling as well as positions for a plethora of 120mm fans. The exact details are not yet confirmed however we are excited as this case is sure to be a classic.

CoolerMaster are keen to promote this chassis as you can see here.

For the first time ever I like the back of a case.

Hard to tell what they changed from the original model but I hope this one has removable/washable dust filters on the top and front of the case since there are so many fans and lots of areas for dust or pet fur to get in. It sucks that this case isn't coming out until after Christmas...that's bad timing.

It's not a bad case, but it doesn't warrant the hype that CM is giving it. I don't know, it's just not anything revolutionary.

That depends skyline, what do we actually know about the new model? Their website shows nothing, it could have some sweet cooling inside. If it's just a paint job then count me out but if there's something substantial I might get it since I'm happy with the CM-690.
