New XFX 6600GT(PV-T43A-NDF7) running Samsung 2.0ns

I just bought the new xfx 6600GT since my old card died.
The reason for this choice was all the great reviews.
It seems like all the reviews was done with the old version of the card running with 1.6ns samsung modules.
My card is running 2.0ns samsung modules.

Samsung K4J55323QF GC20 (Runs at 2.0 ns, 500 MHz and 2x500=1000MHz)
Samsung K4J55323QF GC16 (Runs at 1.6 ns, 600 MHz and 2x600=1200MHz)

No wonder this new revision of cards with the FANTASTIC NEW SILVER FAN

(And 2.0ns of memory) runs hotter. I guess the new fan may be better after all, cooling down a hotter card.
We are talking about two different kinds of cards here. And I got the new revision slow card (PV-T43A-ND[color=red]F7)[/color]. ARRRRGH.

Why didnt XFX enighten us with this? I guess its because they are real sleazy.

One good thing about the card is that it runs rock solid.
At least it still runs 500MHz and 2x500MHz.

I got 6959 in 3dmark03, the hottest my card got in the process was 86 degrees C.
Ambient temps has probably been removed from the new revision of cards. At least mine doesnt have one.

XFX didn't say anything for the same reason no toher companies do: 99.9% of their consumer base wouldn't know what that meant, nor care

As per it not showing ambient temps, that's kind of strange, which drivers are you using?

I personally have an XFX 6800GT and love it (currently at 395x1100, idle temps = 52 core, 35 idle)

I am using 67.03.
But it seems I was wrong to some degree. The blue monster fan version of the card also used 2.0 ns memory. And some of the great reviews actually used the bluemonster fan card with 2.0 ns memory. For instance this ones:

Lots of others with the same card as me (silver fan) doesnt register ambient temps either. Guess they have removed the functionality.

And I also guess that the fan makes the card run hotter. Only advantage may be that the fan air blows over the ram bricks in my edition.

hrmm...Still seems odd to not post ambient temps, especially since I have an XFX card, and it does.

I am currently waiting for an answer from the shop that sold me the card. I am also awaiting an answer from xfx support, but I havent got any yet.

All in all this card is smooth and fast with my setup in doom3 with high quality, 1280x1024 and 0xAA.

It has been running rock solid some days now on 500 and 500x2 and the detected optimal frequencies that can be found is 575 and 1150, but I dont use those.
