??? Nvidia drivers and XP MCE

Have a new Dell System that is running WindowsXP Media Center Edition and getting an XFX GEFORCE 7900 GT EXTREME (520MHZ) 256MB PCI EXPRESS delivered today. Went to grab drivers from Nvidia's site and saw that they have XP/2000 drivers and XP MCE drivers. Do I have to download the MCE drivers or can I use the regular XP drivers? Is there a performance difference?

System Specs

IIRC you have to use the MCE drivers as it will not run on the regular xp drivers

I downloaded the MCE drivers and when I tried to install them it said that there wasn't a compatible video device. Under the notes for the drivers it doesn't list the 7900 as a supported card. I downloaded the XP/2000 drivers and it installed no problem. Strange...
I ran through benchmarks no problem, but Oblivion runs way worse than my xp2600 w/ ATI x800pro card did. I wento through all the tweak guides and the only thing I can think of is that the powersupply in this xps400 is only 375w. I also don't have 2 independant leads from ps directly to the card. Unless it is a DRIVER ISSUE?
I was looking to pick up a OCZ 520 ps, but everything I hear is that you can't hook up a normal powersupply to a my motherboard because the connections don't line up. Anyone know if this is true? or if there is some adapter that would allow me to hook up this bigger ps to my motherboard?
