White Dots on a 7600gs
I bought a geforce 7600gs and everytime i play GTA:SA white dots appear where texture meets. And this happens in a lot of games...
I have a 9600xt and it has the same problem, i already trying everything to solve it and on both i'm running at default clocks and the temp is about 45šC I also tested my memories with memtest and after 2 and a half hours of test it didn't showed any errors. Does anybody know if this is an issue with the memories of the video card? Thx! Sorry for the bad english... |

Well, are you sure it's not a problem with the game itself? (considering it did do it with two very different cards)
If you want, you can try a different video driver to see if that helps. I'd recommend trying something like DHzer0point modified drivers to get the best IQ possible. But when installing new drivers, be sure to properly uninstall your old ones by using Add/Remove Programs and then booting into safe mode and using DriverCleaner Pro to clean out the remnants of junk left by your previous drivers. And then you can install new drivers in normal mode. (A lot of rebooting, yes, but definitely worth it).

i thought those dots were due to poor texture rendering by the game itself? i used to get those too, as my card cant support AA, therefore when the line are jagged, and they dont join up wholely, it results in little gape holes...

Yes , I tried a lot of different drivers like zeropoint, dna, omega but i still get these white dots...
Some people told me it could be the game, and i am starting to believe that itīs really a poor texture rendering by the game... Thx again! |

What other games are these dots appearing in?
I have seen white dots like that is some older games but normally I see them in third party mods and maps. I would say that if it is only these type of white dots where the textures meet then it is definitely the games themselves. |

I see these all the time using both Nvidia and AMD cards. Its a software issue, its more prominant in games like GTA series. Its not an issue with your card.
